Public health community COVID-19 clinics open across Simcoe-Muskoka today for kids aged 5-11.
Dr. Charles Gardner, our Medical Officer of Health, says evidence shows that the vaccine is 91 per cent effective at preventing COVID-19 in children in this age group.
He said earlier this week that almost 7-thousand appointments for child vaccinations had already been made in the region.
There is now a daily vaccine standby list for children 5 to 11 yrs of age, which you can find by clicking here.
