Another blast of wintry weather is expected in Grey Bruce today.
Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory as 5 to 10 centimetres of lake effect flurries are expected for most of the region.
Heavier snow is expected in Owen Sound and northern Grey County. A snow squall warning is in place and Environment Canada says 10 to 20 centimetres of accumulation is expected, with up to 25 centimetres possible in areas hit with more persistent snow.
The squalls predicted in northern Grey County are expected to weaken by early Saturday morning. Flurries across the rest of the region are also expected to come to an end tomorrow morning.
Forecasters say the heavy snow today will combine with strong northwesterly winds, creating difficult travel conditions amid blowing snow.
“Travel will be difficult at times and motorists are advised to exercise caution,” a statement from Environment Canada says.
