GDCI Students win provincial, national "You Be The Chemist" Challenge
Three elementary students in Goderich have picked up awards in science.
Eighth grade students Sarah Ball, Logan Forrest, and Riley Arthur are the national and provincial winners of the 2021 “You Be The Chemist Challenge.”
You Be The Chemist is a STEM (Science Technology Engineering, Math) competition for students in grades 5-8 to explore the excitement and value of chemistry in everyday life.
Ball, Forrest, and Arthur individually answered multiple choice and short-answer questions, and collaborated on a video presentation about “the intersection between the role of chemistry in their community and sustainability.”
