The boil water advisory for Lion’s Head has been lifted.
A release from the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) says the drinking water is safe for all uses.
A boil water advisory had been issued on November 14th, after a watermain break.
OCWA says “The necessary operational corrective actions were completed and bacteriological water quality test results have confirmed that the drinking water supply is in compliance with Ontario regulations and water quality standards.”
They say if you haven’t been using the water supply during the advisory, you should do the following things:
Run your cold water taps for at least one minute.
Run water softeners through a regeneration cycle.
Empty and refill hot water tanks and heaters.
Communicate with neighbours that the advisory is lifted and check on isolated and vulnerable neighbours.
