The availability of COVID-19 booster shots is being expanded to all community clinics in Simcoe-Muskoka today.
They provide an extra layer of protection against the virus, particularly the highly transmissible Delta variant, for individuals who are more at risk.
Those include individuals aged 70 and over, healthcare workers and designated essential caregivers in congregate settings, as well as First Nation, Inuit and Métis adults and their non-Indigenous household members.
COVID-19 booster appointments can be made through the online provincial booking system.
Booster shots are also available at select pharmacies, GO-VAXX bus mobile clinics, and at some primary health care providers.
