The County of Simcoe Paramedic Services has kicked off its 2021 Toy Drive to support families in need.
Due to the pandemic, residents are being asked to consider donating online by clicking here.
New, unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items and gift cards with the value denoted will also be accepted and can be dropped off at one of the locations listed below.
Over the past 18 years, the Toy Drive has collected 87,524 toys, 42,773 lbs of food and more than $200,890 in monetary and gift card donations for families across Simcoe County.
“Each year I’m amazed by the kindness and generosity of residents, Paramedics, businesses and organizations from across Simcoe County, who continue to step up in support of those in need in our communities,” said Warden George Cornell. “We have all seen first hand the many ways that residents have struggled throughout the past 18 months. Feelings of being isolated, alone, and financially depleted have had dramatic impacts on so many. Events like the County of Simcoe Paramedic Toy Drive help to bring people together towards a common goal – to make a child smile on Christmas morning, and to restore a family’s faith in themselves.”

Thanks to the folks at @PaulSadlon who graciously donated tickets to two @OHLBarrieColts games for our #Paramedics. They wanted to recognize and thank our medics who support our community every day. We thank them and send our appreciation! pic.twitter.com/3vonzlxVxu
