The Festival of Northern Lights is back for its 34th year of lights and magic!
Have free family fun at the Opening Celebration on Saturday, November 20th from 6 pm until 9 pm as we light up Owen Sound for another festive season.
Entertainment starts at 6 pm at the Farmers Market on 1st Avenue East where local musician Bob Sanders will be taking the stage.

At 7 pm, Blinkey and local dignitaries welcome the opening of the Festival.

Hosted by Ron MacLean and featuring Sportsnet’s all-star roster of NHL hosts, analysts and reporters, Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2022 promises to be a spectacular event that will shine the national spotlight on Owen Sound and celebrate the community’s rich cultural landscape, diversity, and love for the game of hockey.
Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada festivities will begin on Wednesday, January 26 and feature community and family-friendly hockey events for all ages in Owen Sound and the surrounding area leading up to the main event, Sportsnet’s day-long marathon broadcast of all seven Canadian NHL teams on Saturday, January 29.
To share more community information about the upcoming event, the City of Owen Sound will be hosting a press conference on November 25. Ron MacLean will be on hand, along with members of Scotiabank, Sportsnet and local dignitaries to announce ticketing and merchandise details.
Ticket and merchandise information for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2022 will be announced at the press conference.
Attendees MUST RSVP no later than Monday, November 15, 2021. Proof of double vaccination is required. This event is not open to members of the public; however, the event will be broadcast.
