SMHDU Tues COVID-19 Update Includes 24 New Cases, 6 Children

The Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is reporting 24 new COVID-19 cases and 1 new death.

Today’s death was a Simcoe County man, aged 65-79 who died Monday. His death is outbreak-related.

Six of today’s cases are children.

Today’s update also includes 8 new hospitalizations and 41 newly resolved cases.

To date, 87 percent of the region’s over 12 population has received its first vaccine dose while 83 percent has received its second.

1 Midland
1 Lake of Bays
