The Collingwood G&M Foundation (CGMHF) has received a cheque for $55,000 from members of the Georgian Bay Club Foundation.
This money will support the purchase of a new centrifuge machine for the Laboratory at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
The GBCF is a charitable, not-for-profit organization operated by Georgian Bay Club members who are committed to giving back to our community. In addition to supporting CGMHF, their annual campaign also makes contributions to several other deserving localcharities who are focused on health and well-being in South Georgian Bay.
“We are very thankful for the continued support of The GBC Foundation and pleased that this gift will be used to purchase a new centrifuge machine, a critical piece of equipment in the CGMH laboratory, says Jory Pritchard-Kerr, CGMHF President & CEO. “Thecentrifuge machine operates by separating blood components to make pathogens easier to detect during testing. With over 1.6 million tests conducted everyyear, centrifuge machines are used daily, making them vital pieces of equipment to have in working order.”
