Health officials are looking for a dog involved in a biting incident along the Goderich To Auburn Rail Trail.
According to a new release, the incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. Sunday on the GART trail between CP Line and McGaw Road, just west of Goderich.
The dog involved in the incident is described as small to medium-sized, chocolate brown in colour and possibly a spaniel mix.
Health officials say the dog was unleashed at the time of the bite.
The dog was reportedly accompanied by a male, who had a second dog on a leash.
That dog is described as small and white or tan in colour.
Huron Perth Public Health is investigating this incident to verify if the dog has up-to-date rabies shots.
If the dog is not found, the person who was bitten may need to complete a series of rabies shots.
