You can check out some of this year’s Summer Company program participants in Barrie at an upcoming virtual event.
The Summer Company Virtual Showcase is taking place from 4-6 p.m. on October 20th.
It is a provincial program that helps young people between 15 and 29 years old start and run their own summer business by providing funding, advice and services.
This year, 10 Small Business Enterprise Centres, ranging in a geographic spread from Thunder Bay to St. Catharines, will join together in the first collaborative event between centres, as a part of Central Ontario’s Premier Business Event, Xcelerate Summit.
Youth from these centres will be featured in a virtual showcase where the public can shop new goods and services, network with the students, but most importantly continue to support local.
