A suspect is in custody after police responded to reports of a stabbing near Orillia Secondary School today.
At 1:25 pm, police responded after they say an altercation occurred between two youths off school property.
One was taken to hospital suffering minor injuries.
Orillia Secondary School and Samuel de Champlain Elementary School were put on a hold and secure as a precaution during the search.
There is no ongoing threat to student or public safety.
The identity of the suspect is being withheld as they are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
The investigation continues.
