A new Santa float is on the way to Wasaga Beach.
Council members have approved specifications for the holiday float design, and authorized staff to award the design for the float – up to a limit of $15,000 – to the proponent with the best submission from at least three formal quotes gathered.
Insurance will partially cover the costs of the float with the balance coming from reserves.
The previous float was destroyed when the poll barn it was kept in collapsed in the winter.
