OPP have released the name of a woman who was killed when her car collided with a train northeast of Coldwater.
Sixty-seven year old Barbara Kitchen was the lone occupant of a car that collided with the train at a crossing on Upper Big Chute Road just east of Irish Line on Sunday night.
Provincial police say Upper Big Chute Road was closed for several hours Sunday while investigators completed their examination and the train and vehicle were removed. The rail crossing, which is marked with a red and white “X” and red flashing lights, was reopened shortly before midnight after repairs were completed to the signal control box, which was damaged during the collision.
