I have received several reports of a false news article being circulated online, which is being used to promote the anti-vaccination agenda and it needs to be addressed.
This was a brief error posted on our website, which was quickly corrected, but with the power of social media, it has been spreading as fast as misinformation about COVID-19.
This station supports science, doctors, nurses, and Health Canada approved vaccinations, which have been proven to save millions of lives.
Sadly, this is how so-called “fake news” gets spread online, especially if someone doesn’t bother to check the source and validity of the post, which is most likely.
If you visited our website and viewed the article directly, you would see it clearly states “unvaccinated and partially vaccinated”. Plus, you can always get the information directly from the SMDHU, by clicking here.
Ontario’s chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore has said, more than once, that the fourth wave of the pandemic is being fuelled by the unvaccinated.
He has even added evidence showing individuals who are unvaccinated are eight times more likely to be cases than those who are vaccinated, and those without a vaccine are 29 times more likely to be in hospital and 48 times more likely in ICU.
If you can, please get vaccinated against COVID-19, so we can protect our children and our loved ones.
