OPP say a report of a suspicious package received at the Canada Post Office in Thornbury has been deemed to be harmless.
Police say, on Tuesday, (Sept 21), at about 9:18 a.m., Collingwood OPP, along with the Town of Blue Mountain Fire Department, responded to a report of a suspicious package at the post office.
They say their investigation revealed a letter had been dipped in a harmless substance to enhance the fragrance of the parcel.
Collingwood OPP are reminding the community that parcels emitting a strange odour will be flagged and investigated.
