A report by the Integrity Commissioner into Code of Conduct complaints into the Mayor of Springwater has recently been presented to council.
In the report, the Integrity Commissioner Harold Elston cleared Mayor Don Allen of the three Code of Conduct complaints made against him following an incident at the 2019 Warden’s Golf Tournament.
Mr. Elston was retained by Council, in November 2020, to re-investigate the complaints and original inquiry into the matter, which lacked a clear determination of whether the Code of Conduct was breached.
