Muskoka Council has voted to go ahead and redevelop the Fairvern Nursing Home on donated lands on Centre Street in Huntsville.
District Chair John Klinck says the donated site will meet the expanded needs of facility in a cost effective manner.
The next steps will include planning approvals, with a possible tender call next fall.
The District is hoping for project completion in early 2025.
A community information session will take place in October to provide updates and information on both the redevelopment and transition work.
