Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire “,….. proudly sponsored by Pete’s Auto Body.

The harness racing season at Hanover Raceway concludes tomorrow afternoon with their final card of the season.
Along with the 1:30 pm post time, the day will be climaxed by a free concert by Owen Riegling following the final race.
It’s notable that going to the final race date on the calendar the Top Dash Driver award remains somewhat in doubt.
Bob McClure, a prominent name in the sport, is the Hanover leader but his cushion isn’t large, just 3 up heading to the final day.
Also, from a trainer’s standpoint, the winning trainer and the trainer with the highest winning percentage are still up for grabs and will garner a great deal of focus tomorrow.
A few other awards have been determined, but remain unannounced; The Horse of the Year, the Claimer of the Year and the Bud Fritz Rising Star Award will be confirmed during the course of Saturday’s program.
When the final race is over and the Owen Riegling Concert concludes Hanover Raceway will transition in 2022.
It’s unknown at the moment what 2022 will look like at Hanover Raceway but after 2 seasons of managing during the COVID-19 era, I’m sure they’ll be able to make a successful transition.
For Pete’s Auto Body, I’m Fred Wallace.
