The OPP has released more details today about an investigation that shut down Heritage Drive in Collingwood.
On September 13, 2021, at approximately 4:30 p.m. OPP officers along with members of the Simcoe County Paramedics and Collingwood Fire Department were dispatched to the area of Heritage Drive after a body was found in the water near the shoreline.
The death is not believed to be suspicious and a post mortem examination will take place in the coming days.
Identification of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
