Saugeen Shores Police are looking for tips to help identify a suspect who allegedly shoplifted more than $1,200 worth of perfume from a store in Port Elgin.
Police say an elderly male in his late 60s or early 70s entered Shopper’s Drug Mart on Goderich Street just after 11 a.m. on Aug. 15. The suspect was in the store for less than five minutes and exited without purchasing any items.
Saugeen Shores Police say staff at the business later located several security stickers that appeared to have been removed from items in the store.
According to police, a review of surveillance tapes found the male removed security stickers from several bottles of perfume, concealed them in his shirt and left the premises.
The total value of the merchandise is $1,204.
