A soldier from CFB Borden is doing something pretty amazing today in honour of his little brother’s cancer journey.
Lt. Aaron Niles is going to embark on a ‘Ruck’, a march while carrying a pack weighing 30 lbs. from the 16 Wing HQ to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre at RVH.
It’s a 30-kilometre trek to raise funds in support of patient care at RVH and the number 30 is significant, representing the 30-day diagnosis the soldier’s brother received in September 2010.
Thanks to the care his brother received, he is alive and doing well today.

Lt. Niles hopes to raise $30,000 during his Ruck For A Cure in support of patient care at RVH and donation details can be found by clicking here.
