The Township of Ramara will reopen the Administration Office to the public on Tuesday, September 7th.
It will be open from 9:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.
When the Province moved into Step 1 of the Province’s Roadmap to Reopening plan, the Township only provided in-person services to those patrons accessing the Finance department. Since then, Ramara staff have been preparing to open the doors for residents to access all departments safely.
“We look forward to welcoming the public back into the Administration Office and resuming normal operations,” states Mayor Clarke. “With vaccination rates increasing, we are hopeful that we can continue to serve our patrons in person and continue to offer more in-person services as restrictions ease. I want to thank our business leaders and Ramara residents for their patience and support and remind the public to continue to be diligent as we approach a possible fourth wave.”
As the Township reopens, residents are still encouraged to make appointments to meet with staff members to reduce resident wait times and ensure that staff are available to address residents’ questions and needs. As well, residents are encouraged to continue to access our online services such as paying bills online, submitting building permit
applications, accessing recreation programming, and watching Council meetings.
“The Township has implemented all the safety measures necessary to ensure the safety of staff and public in our facility,” states CAO John Pinsent. “Over the last two months, the Township of Ramara has adopted a hybrid model format for council meetings that provide council members, staff, consultants and the public the ability to engage electronically and in-person. With the installation of Plexiglas between Council members and limiting the
physical attendance in the Council Chambers, the Township can provide a safe, accessible format that will remain a permanent solution post-pandemic.”
For residents who need to access the Administration Building, visitors must take the following precautions and conform to the following restrictions:
- A mask or face covering must be worn at all times.
- Physical distancing measures will be in place and access will be limited to the front
lobby, finance, and building/planning counters. - Members of the public will enter through the front doors located near Highway 12.
Please note that the back doors behind the building will not be open.
Residents are encouraged to visit the Township’s website at www.ramara.ca for up to date information on services and programs.
