Kincardine is looking for a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
The municipality says, current CAO Sharon Chambers has accepted a position as CAO at the Township of Wilmot beginning on October 12th.
Mayor Gerry Glover says in a statement, Chambers has worked in public service for over 25 years and for Kincardine for more than four years.
He notes, “In that time, she has led an organizational restructuring process, the development of a Corporate Strategic Plan, an Economic Development Strategy, and the municipal response to the COVID-19 pandemic, among many other noteworthy accomplishments.”
He adds, “On behalf of Council, I thank Ms. Chambers for her work and wish her well in her new position. Council will work closely with the senior leadership team in the weeks ahead to ensure a seamless transition.”
Chambers says, “It has been an honour to work with such an incredible team, and very enthusiastic councillors during my career at the Municipality of Kincardine. I am proud of the work we have completed together, especially during such challenging times.”
The search for a new CAO begins this month.
