The Avon Maitland District School Board has released their COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols for the upcoming academic year.
The document asks parents and caregivers to self-screen students under 18 at home every morning before coming to school, using the Ontario School Screening Tool.
Staff and students 18 and older are asked to self-screen every morning before attending class.
Face coverings will also be required for students in Grades 1 to 12, but students will be allowed to remove their masks for consuming food or drink.
The document covers how learning will look for all students in school, as well as during field trips, school events, and lunch breaks.
The COVID-19 Health & Safety Protocols from the AMDSB is based on recommendations from the Government of Ontario, Huron Perth Public Health, and SickKids.
