Clearview’s Community Garden is hosting its first Garden Harvest fundraising party.
The Garden Harvest Picnic Dinner will be held on September 2, 2021, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM.
It will be a 19+ event featuring live music, a silent auction, a cash bar provided in partnership with the Stayner Kinsmen Club, and serving local produce grown in the Community Garden’s inaugural year. Strict COVID-19 safety protocols in effect.
The vision of the Community Garden is “Growing the community, one plant at a time” and the fundraiser will show off the very best of the harvest while celebrating the people who have dedicated so much time to make the garden a success. Funds raised will help support new programming and the community orchard within the garden.
The picnic dinner menu will include a variety of salads, smoked beef brisket on a bun, ratatouille, desserts, coffee, tea and iced tea. The star of each dish will be the local produce harvested from the garden. Live music will be performed by local saxophonist Nelson Beattie, singer/songwriter Jess Bowman and singer/songwriter Jason Redman.
Tickets are on sale until Monday, August 30th by contacting the Friends of the Clearview EcoPark at friendsofecopark@gmail.com or by calling Amanda Murray, Community Culture & Tourism Coordinator at 705-428-6230 ext. 504.
