Multiple charges have been laid, following a stunt driving investigation in Wasaga Beach.
Police say a vehicle was clocked at 109 km/hr on River Road West early this morning, but after an attempt to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle took off.
Officer spotted it a short time later, stopped in a live lane on Crossland Road within Springwater Township, where the vehicle had run out of gas.
As a result, a 30-year-old driver from Quebec, is now facing charges:
- Race a motor vehicle – Excessive speed
- Fail to stop for police
The driver was issued a 7-day licence suspension in Ontario and the vehicle was impounded for a period of 14 days.
