Owen Sound Police are seeking an arrest warrant for a 35-year-old man who allegedly attacked another male with a skateboard at the east harbour wall on Sunday.
City Police say the two males had a disagreement last Friday, Aug. 20, in the 1100 block of 1st Avenue East which was broken up by bystanders.
Two days later, police say the 35-year-old accused located the other male at the harbour wall and “vicisiously” attacked him, striking the victim with his own skateboard multiple times.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The incident was later reported to Owen Sound Police.
Police say they’ve identified the accused in this matter — but have not named him — and the 35-year-old Owen Sound man is being charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and fail to comply with probation.
City Police say an arrest warrant is being sought for the accused.
