Come September 1st, there will be an online way to process building permits in Gravenhurst.
The Town’s Chief Building Official Andy Jones says the new iCloud permit platform goes live on September 1st.
“It’s a program where people can actually apply for building permits right from their home 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” says Jones.

The new system means people won’t have to go to the Town office at all for permits and can also book their inspections online. Given today’s COVID-19 climate, the Town was also able to secure some funding from the Province for the new system.
In this light, the new iCloud system will help reduce the number of people staff will have to talk to in person and people can now apply for permits from far away places without having to drive all the way to Gravenhurst in order to facilitate permit processes.
The new system will be live on September 1st at Gravennhurst.ca/building
