The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 28 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths.
New cases include 11 in Barrie, 3 in Bradford West Gwillimbury, 3 in Innisfil, 6 in Orillia, and a case each in Clearview, Huntsville, New Tecumseth, Severn, and Lake of Bays.
There have been two new hospitalizations and there are 12 newly resolved cases.
To date, 80 percent of the region’s over-12 population has received its first vaccination dose while 72 percent has received its second.
