The Municipality of Arran-Elderslie remains extremely busy from a real estate and development standpoint.
Chief Building Official Patrick Johnston was a guest recently on ” Home Base with Brandon Vanderschot ” on 560 CFOS.
Johnston related he’s being kept very busy, so busy his voicemail box is perpetually filled and unable to accept new messages.
In terms of development numbers, Johnston admits he’s somewhat surprised that the level of activity in the municipality has already exceeded 2019 which was a banner year as well.
Both residential and agricultural developments in the municipality are at a high level and Johnston states that’s a rare combination that generally when one of those aspects is up, the other is down.
Johnston says advance planning and infrastructure systems that were already in place have made coping with the upswing in demand much smoother for Arran-Elderslie.
