Construction work on Owen Sound’s new East Bayshore sewage pump station is going to result in some traffic disruptions over the next few weeks.
City officials advise East Bayshore Road/Grey Road 15 will be closed to through traffic between 3rd Avenue East in Owen Sound and Princes Street/Bayshore Road in Leith from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, starting today (Aug. 17) until Friday, Sept. 3.
Full access to the Kiwanis Soccer Complex will be maintained.
During the daytime closure, officials say there will be no through traffic — including emergency access — on East Bayshore Road from 32nd Street East to 400 metres north of 32nd Street East.
The city is upgrading and replacing two existing wastewater pump stations with one wastewater pump station.
