The annual Summerfolk Music & Crafts Festival is scheduled for this weekend at a variety of locations and venues in Owen Sound.
Presented by the Georgian Bay Folk Society, Summerfolk 46 will be different from the traditional Summerfolk but those connected to the festival are excited about the return of the event and intrigued by the new format of rotating performers.
Among the performers scheduled to perform is Juno Award winner Crystal Shawanda.
Shawanda who is from Manitoulin Island is based in Nashville, Tennessee as recording artist.
She says it’s so refreshing to be back in front of crowds performing and is looking forward to a variety of dates in our region including Summerfolk.
Crystal Shawanda will be performing on Sunday afternoon this weekend at the Kelso Beach Park Down by the River Family Village.
According to the Summerfolk schedule, she’ll be playing from 3pm – 4pm.
