A 36-year-old Collingwood woman has been charged with impaired driving, after Huronia West OPP officers discovered a motorist asleep behind the wheel in the detachment parking lot.
OPP say she was one of seven motorists charged on the weekend with driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Police received information Friday evening that two vehicles operated by tipsy drivers, were leaving a Wasaga Beach business. One driver blew a warn resulting in a three day license suspension.
The other, a 33 year old Clearview Township woman, was charged with refusing a breath demand and possession of cocaine.
On Saturday, a Renfrew man was charged with stunt driving and impaired driving after police stopped a vehicle doing 90 in a fifty zone.
There was also a crash on Saturday on County Road 9 near New Lowell, that resulted in a Clearview man being
charged with Impaired driving.
Police also charged a Richmond Hill man with drunk driving, after a complaint about intoxicated people in a parking lot.
And officers came across a 75 year old man asleep in a car in Clearview. He was also charged.
