The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting 44 new COVID-19 cases and no new deaths.
New cases in the first update this week include 14 in Barrie, 2 in Gravenhurst, 5 in Innisfil, 2 each in Springwater and Wasaga Beach, 7 in New Tecumseth, 6 in Bradford West Gwillimbury, and 1 each in Midland, Lake of Bays, Ramara, Tiny and Essa.
Today’s update includes 14 newly resolved cases.
To date, 80 percent of the region’s over-12 population have received one vaccination dose while 71 percent have received two.
