The riding of Huron-Bruce has a few federal election candidates who have been announced.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called a snap election Sunday that will see a 36-day long campaign before election day September 20th.
Incumbent MP Ben Lobb is the Conservative Party of Canada’s Candidate. He has been MP in the riding since 2008.
The Huron-Bruce Federal Liberal Association has announced James Rice as their candidate. He will have a campaign office in Wingham.
The Candidate for the People’s Party of Canada is Jack Stecho, who is from Goderich.
Goderich based Justin L. Smith is running as an Independent.
The NDP have not yet announced a candidate in the riding. Bayshore Broadcasting News has reached out to them for more information.
Elections Canada says the nomination process for candidates closes on Monday, August 30th and a complete list of confirmed candidates will be available on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.
As of today, Elections Canada has yet to officially confirm any candidates on its website in this district.
Advance voting takes place on September 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th ahead of election day on the 20th.
