And just like that, we’re at the weekend.
I will say it is a weekend of much anticipation for the various entries in the Tara Twins Minor Softball program.
The Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14 Twins all have significant fastball tournaments on the agenda.
The Under 10 Twins hosted an O.A.S.A. Qualifier last weekend in Tara and finished third.
That result allowed the U10 Twins to earn a berth in the Provincial Championship at Drumbo and Princeton ( between Woodstock & Cambridge ) this weekend for the Provincial Championships.
Tara will be among 7 teams competing at the tournament.
The Under 12 Tara Twins will also be at their Provincial Championship at Drumbo and Princeton this weekend
The Twins tuned up for the Provincial by going 4 for 4 last weekend sweeping the PDP Lightning Saturday at Bluewater Park in Wiarton and then defeating the Norwich Otters and the Wilmot Thunder the following day on the road..
Finally, the Under 14 Tara Twins finished second at the Elimination/Qualifier at New Hamburg losing the final to New Hamburg-Baden but finishing with a mark of 4 & 2.
That run gives the U14 Twins some momentum as they depart for the OASA at Napanee this weekend and the Eastern Canadian Championship later this month in New Brunswick
