The OPP has closed a missing person investigation in Sparrow Lake.
The Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario confirmed on Tuesday that the identity of the remains found in the area on August 1st were those of 56 year old Ian Walker.
Walker was reported missing from his cottage on Sparrow Lake by members of his family a couple of days earlier, which prompted an extensive search by OPP units and members of the public.
The OPP says its investigation into the incident has been concluded and no foul play is suspected.
Sincere condolences to Ian’s friends and family.
