Over the course of the weekend, Rama Police conducted four drinking & driving investigations.
Police responded to reports of a disturbance near the casino around midnight on Friday, when suspects were seen leaving the area in a vehicle.
Officers quickly intercepted the vehicle and the driver, a 21 year old Midland woman, was arrested after failing a roadside test.
About 24 hours later, officers completed two separate investigations, resulting in a 38-year-old woman from Mississauga bing issued a 3-day driver’s license suspension after registering an ALERT during a roadside test, while in the second incident, a 22-year-old man from Peterborough was stopped on Atherley Rd near Rama Rd for a sobriety check after being observed weaving in his lane.
He was arrested for impaired driving and police say evidence showed he was 2 times over the legal limit.
Then a traffic stop on County Road 169 last night resulted in the arrest of a 51 year old man from Mount Albert, who police say failed a roadside test and had over three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
