A large number of cyclists will be in Grey Bruce starting this weekend for the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure (GWTA).
About 70 cyclists will be travelling from Blue Mountain Village along the new extension of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail to Point Clark.
The route will take them through Collingwood, The Blue Mountains, Meaford, Owen Sound, Wiarton, Lions Head, Tobermory, Sauble Beach, Southampton, Port Elgin, Kincardine and Point Clark.
A release from CAA South Central Ontario, which supports the ride with its Bike Assist Service, (roadside assistance for bicycles) is reminding drivers to stay alert and to keep safety and road rules top of mind including Ontario’s one-metre safe passing law.

The cycling event runs August 6th – August 11th.
