No change in the number of active COVID-19 cases, in the latest report for Huron and Perth counties.
Public health officials recorded no new cases Wednesday, keeping the number of active cases at 5.
In a statement from Huron Perth Public Health, “the majority of new cases have been in unvaccinated individuals.”
“Getting vaccinated means that you are less likely to contract COVID-19, suffer severe outcomes, or spread the virus to others.”
The latest report also shows no hospitalizations due to COVID-19, while 31 people are currently in isolation as high risk contacts with the novel coronavirus.
The death toll is unchanged, at 57.
