A concerned citizen has helped police arrest a suspected drunk driver in Wasaga Beach.
Huronia West OPP say they received a 9-1-1 call on Monday morning, about a vehicle stopped in a live lane near the intersection of Mosley Street and Beachwood Road.
When officers arrived, police say they located an occupant in the driver’s seat, and noted signs of impairment.
As a result, Kathleen Robb, 67-years-old, of Wasaga Beach, has been charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Possession Break-In Instruments
- Driving while under suspension
The driver was given a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days.
The OPP is committed to public safety and encourages anyone who suspects an impaired driver to call 9-1-1 immediately.
