Canada’s Catherine Beauchemin-Pinard won the Bronze medal in Judo in the 63kg event,
The medal is Canada’s second judo medal at the Olympics.
Olympic Women’s 100-metre Backstroke
Canadian Kylie Masse captured silver finished in 57.72 seconds
Australia’s Kaylee McKeown won Gold & set a new Olympic record.
Masse had been leading at the turn but got passed by McKeown in the last few metres of the race.
That medal is Canada’s third swimming medal at the Tokyo Games

The Owen Sound Junior NorthStars begin a sequence of Skills & Drills tonight at the Harry Lumley-Bayshore Community Centre
The Junior NorthStars will begin exhibition games on August 5th when they host the Guelph Regals

Pending Major Announcement ?
Sources persist that the Owen Sound Attack & the City of Owen Sound are sitting on a major announcement this week.
One source believes a formal announcement could come as early as today.
Another report maintains the announcement is linked to the National Hockey League and the start of the new contract year which is tomorrow.

Rodgers Returning ?
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is nearing a return to the Green Bay Packers
The Packers and Rodgers were able to reach mutually agreed-upon terms that are close to convincing Rodgers to abandon plans he had to skip training camp
Although Rodgers hasn’t left California, both sides are hoping to finalize the agreement shortly.
Communiski Dinner
The 8th Annual Communiski Dinner for Nordic Skier Julian Smith is Friday August 20th at 5 pm
The event is staged at 070527 Zion Church Road in Georgian Bluffs.
