
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 15 new Covid cases and 23 resolved ones on Wednesday.
According to Public Health, seven people from Chatsworth, two folks from each of Saugeen First Nation and Hanover, and residents of Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs, Kincardine and Brockton tested positive.
The region’s active known case load fell to 147. Five Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and four others are receiving care outside the area.
More than 207,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
The health unit also disclosed an additional Covid-related death. Sixteen Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Wednesday are reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Tuesday.
