After losing their opening game of the weekend, the Twins reeled off 3 straight victories against Elmira, Norwich & Tavistock

The Tara Twins had an eventful weekend heading to Elmira for 2 games Saturday and hosting 2 more in Tara on Sunday.
Game 1 got off to a poor start for the Twins, finding themselves down 10-0 after 3 inning en route to an eventual 15-0 defeat at the hands of the Elmira Heat. Zak Hamilton, Ethan Sopkowe and Drew Summers pitched in the loss. The lone highlights from that game being a clean inning with 2 strikeouts from Summers, and singles from Nathan Miller and Hamilton.
The second game was much better than the first for the Twins. The Twins had back to back 5 run innings to kick off the game vs the PDP lightning on their way to an eventual 18-2 victory. Nathan Miller threw 5 innings for the Twins and was relieved with a quick inning by Jackson Kuhl. The big hitters for the Twins in game 2 were Ethan Sopkowe with a triple, Landen McCartney with a triple and a single and Miller again with a single, double and 2 rbi.
Sunday was a clean sweep for the Twins. They kicked off the day defeating the Norwich Otters 7-3 on the back of a Nathan Miller complete game with 9 strikeouts, 4 hits and 3 walks. Miller was also the big bopper batter with a triple and 2 rbi’s. Colton Hepburn had a walk, double and 2 runs scored for the Twins.
The Twins wrapped up the weekend with a 14-8 win against the Tavistock Athletics. The Twins pitching duties were split between Zak Hamilton, Ethan Sopkowe and Jackson Kuhl. Hamilton had a single and a walk and 2 runs scored, Waylon Greig had a double and 2 rbi for the Twins.
The Twins have the OASA West qualifier this weekend in New Hamburg. They kick off the weekend against the Elmira Heat Saturday morning at 10 am.
