A traffic stop in Orillia has resulted in the seizure of cocaine and catalytic converters.
Police say a vehicle was stopped early Wednesday morning, when the two occupants were taken into custody and a quantity of cocaine along with seven stolen catalytic converters were discovered.
As a result, Matthew BAETSEN, age 50, of Orillia, has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
- Seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was held for a bail hearing on July 14, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Barrie.
In addition, Christie EBELING, age 37, of Bracebridge, was charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
- Seven counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
The accused was released on a Form 10 Undertaking and is set to appear on August 17, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
