The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported 21 new Covid cases and 11 resolved ones on Thursday.
According to Public Health, nine people from Owen Sound, three from Brockton, two folks from each of Meaford and Saugeen First Nation, and residents of Arran-Elderslie, Grey Highlands, Saugeen Shores, South Bruce Peninsula and Southgate tested positive.
The region’s active known case load increased to 182. Seventeen Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and three others are receiving care outside the area.
More than 199,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Thirteen Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic. The Health Unit says there are also three additional suspected Covid-related deaths pending confirmation.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Thursday are reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday.
