Grey County residents looking to responsibly dispose of old paint cans, propane tanks or other hazardous waste materials are going to have to wait a bit longer.
The next Household Hazardous Waste Day Event in Owen Sound has been cancelled. The service is normally open to residents of Owen Sound, Chatsworth, Georgian Bluffs, Grey Highlands, Meaford and West Grey.
A release notes due to staffing concerns, the event that was supposed to be held on July 17 will be put on hold.
The next one is scheduled for Aug. 21, then Sept. 11, Sept. 25, Oct. 2, and Oct. 16.
The city is looking at extending the hours of the upcoming events and holding additional ones in the fall.
