Andreescu Withdraws
Bianca Andreescu says she has withdrawn from Canada’s Olympic tennis team.
Andreescu is pulling out of the Games due to pandemic-related challenges.
A state of emergency took effect in Tokyo on Monday as the number of new COVID-19 cases is climbed rapidly and hospital beds are heavily occupied 11 days ahead of the Olympics.
Andreescu, ranked No. 5 on the WTA Tour, says it was a “difficult decision”

Keith Heads West
The Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League traded Caleb Jones and a 3rd-round pick to the Chicago Blackhawks un exchange for defenceman Duncan Keith.
Keith is a 3-time Stanley Cup champion with the Blackhawks and won the 2015 Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
He also won the Norris Trophy as the best defenseman in the NHL in 2010 and again in 2014,
Stanley Cup Dented
The Tampa Bay Lightning had their Stanley Cup boat parade yesterday and managed to put a dent in the trophy
The bowl of the Cup was dented during the festivities and now it will be shipped back to Canada for repairs.
