South Bruce OPP are on the look out for the driver of a pickup truck involved in a single-vehicle crash with a hydro pole near Mildmay.
Police say around 8:30 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a crash scene on Highway 9 between Side Road 35 and Side Road 40.
When they arrived, they found a black pickup truck had collided into a hydro pole in the south ditch.
A witness passing by reported a male driver was seen running from the scene and headed southbound on Highway 9.
The suspect is described as white, around 30-years-old, having a slim build, and wearing a jacket.
The West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine are also on the scene to assist with the investigation.
A section of Highway 9 is currently closed off between Mildmay and Grey County Road 10 near Clifford.
Residents in the area of Mildmay and Clifford are advised they may experience power outages while repairs to the hydro pole occur.
